The Hardy boys and their father are searching for a guy that has stolen very import military documents. In a separate mystery the boys had an assignment to find the culprits who have stolen some farmers very prized and very valuable antiques. The Galloping Rider and Flashing Arrow would be worth about twenty grand! The Galloping Rider showed up at an auction that was later found out to be part of the operation. Marvin Crow, was discovered at the farmers barn, he said that he had left his jacket, but was lying about something. The Flashing Arrow was stolen by an unexpected method. The farmer, Mr. Henry, was drugged with a mixture of alcohol and chloral! The Hardy boys were threaten by an anonymous telephone caller but remain dedicated to the case. A clue was found during the investigation of the vehicle used in swiping the Flashing Arrow. That piece of paper found in the vehicle had Chesapeake Crossing written on it, the last place where the missing Pentagon person was seen. How are the mysteries related?! The Hardy boys father sent them to the Pentagon to share this new revelation with their fathers friend. All paths led to Chesapeake Crossing and the missing Pentagon guy. The group got a boat to explore Chesapeake Bay and when they are on the bay they discover a ticking bomb on their boat! As the boys face the dangers from the gang, they discover a name of an island scratched on the windows of missing Pentagon guy's sailboat. After all this, now there is a guy with a plastic beard, three inch high heeled shoes, and dark glasses after them! All of these mysteries come together in a surprise ending in the Hardy Boys and the Pentagon Spy. 9:11 PM
